Tewhatewha

A friend asked me to make a Tewhatewha, this is the prototype that I made to try out the shapes and techniques.  I am looking forward to getting the native timber to make the final one.

A Tewhatewha was a traditionally carried by a chief in battle and was primarily used as a signalling device, while the chief fought with a patu or mere, it could also be used as a striking or thrusting weapon.
